Microsoft To Do Backlog Prioritization with Ducalis

Microsoft To Do is great for planning and doing the work. But a default priority field is a weak way to rank a backlog: there are no shared criteria, no team estimates and no score you can explain to stakeholders.

Ducalis has no native Microsoft To Do integration, so the tasks move through a CSV file: import them, score them with the criteria your team agrees on and take the ranked list back.

How to prioritize Microsoft To Do tasks

  1. Export the tasks from Microsoft To Do to a CSV file. If export is not available on your plan, copy them into Google Sheets and download the sheet as CSV.
  2. Import the file into a Ducalis board and map the columns to issue fields. See CSV import.
  3. Choose a framework or your own criteria and invite the team. Each teammate scores the tasks against the criteria, and Ducalis calculates the priority.
  4. Export the ranked list to an Excel-friendly CSV and update the order in Microsoft To Do. See Export data.
